Refund Policy

Defining Narratives Institute – Powered by We The Revolt


Overview

Defining Narratives Institute offers digital learning experiences designed for justice-involved youth and those who support them. In most cases, access is provided at no cost to the student, as programs are funded by schools, juvenile justice systems, re-entry programs, or community organizations.

While we strive to deliver transformational, trauma-informed content, we understand that in some cases, a program administrator, school, or guardian may seek a refund. These requests are reviewed case by case.


Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be requested within 30 days of purchase by the original purchaser or institution.

A refund may be approved if:

  • Less than 25% of the course has been completed

  • No certificates have been issued

  • No evidence of content being downloaded, copied, or used outside the platform

A refund will not be approved if:

  • The course is more than 25% completed

  • There are signs of copy/paste behavior or mass content usage

  • A certificate of completion has already been granted

  • The course was accessed through a free license, scholarship, or grant

  • The refund request is made more than 30 days after purchase


Request Process

If you’re a school counselor, program manager, juvenile officer, or payer of record, and you’d like to request a refund:

  • Email support@wetherevolt.com

  • Include:

    • Student’s name

    • Course title

    • Date of purchase

    • Reason for the refund request

We will review the request and respond within 5 business days.

If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method.


Gifts & Sponsored Enrollments

If the course was gifted, sponsored, or paid for by a third party:

  • The refund will be issued to the original payer

  • Students themselves cannot request or receive direct refunds


Non-Refundable Scenarios

  • Courses accessed via community-wide access licenses

  • Courses where progress exceeds 25%

  • Courses that include completed quizzes, assignments, or certifications

  • Repeated refund requests from the same user or institution
